OK so I know I haven’t posted on this blog in it seems like forever, BUT I have been “blogging”. I have a NEW BLOG that I use for more of a journal now. I also just launched my website this past Sunday www.megancharland.com. It still needs some work, but I made it all by myself and I’m proud of the job I did
So check out my new blog and website and let me know what you think!
On another note more related to this blog… This spring I want to do a full production photo shoot. My plan is to try to get as many 18th century reenactors together at my mother’s house in Peru, NY as possible. I’m a poor college student, so I will be unable to pay you, BUT I will buy yummy food and we can have a cook out
Also, by signing a modelling contract for me I will give you your choice of prints (up to four (4) 8″x12″ glossy or luster) from the shoot. My goal is to get between 10-15 participants. This is all in the beginning planning stages so right now I’m just seeing if there is any interest. More details to follow…

Full production photo shoot? Do you have a particular theme in mind? Sounds like a lot of fun to me! It would be awesome if we could also incorporate the batteau into the shoot. I know some rangers that would just love to go for a row-a-bout, and I don’t think they’d mind being photographed either

I am sure that 1st Co Herricks would love to particpate in this!! For food!!! Maybe shoot a few Rangers when we have the chance! Drag the cannon in for a shot as well. Your new blog site and shots are awesome–a true talent! The hard work shows.

Let’s see, I’ll have to prepare food, cook burgers , sausages, and
hot dogs, build a bonfire, make salads and all that. Your Mom will
have to make macaroni salad, fruit salad, strawberry slop, other snacks and all that. We’ll needto have stuff for smore’s.
I’ll be having an ale or two with friends. Ok, count me in,
Only if you photograph my good side……oh, that’s right…I don’t have one.

So, I realize this response is delayed (by 5 months!) but…it’s better late then never right?
I would LOVE to have the batteau involved…that would be a good test of skill for those rangers! I would need perfection!
Thank you Eric for the compliments….always welcome
Tom…of course you have a good side, and as for the cooking…if you’re volunteering…
Sounds like this might actually work out, although considering it is already June with 90 degree weather and the HUGE Fort Ticonderoga event around the corner…this “spring” photo shoot might be happening a little later then originally anticipated
I’m ready to get back to work on this Living History Photography project. Now that I have just graduated from college, between the job hunting, sorting of my many many belongings that are no longer welcome in my parents barn, and trying to find the time to soak up some rays…I have plenty of time to commit to shooting again!!
With my new website, I also have a new e-mail that I would like to start using: megan@livinghistoryphotography.com
THANKS!!

I still think this sound like a fun weekend. Trying to find a weekend that will work for anyone / everyone that is interested may prove to be challenging with the upcoming scheduled events and rising gas prices.
However; if you have enough interested participants to make it worth your while, I’m still game!
